How long does permanent makeup last?
Most clients enjoy their results for about 1 to 3 years, depending on skin type, sun exposure and skincare. A color refresh every 12 to 18 months keeps it looking fresh.
Does it hurt?
Most clients describe it as mild discomfort. A professional numbing cream is applied before and during your session, and you can ask for a break at any time.
How long is an appointment?
Plan for about 3 hours. That includes your consultation, mapping and shaping, the procedure itself and aftercare instructions.
Is a touch-up included?
The perfecting touch-up within 8 weeks is $150. It refines the shape and color once your skin has healed, and most clients need it for the best result.
What does the $100 deposit cover?
The deposit reserves your time and is applied to your service total. It is kept if you cancel with less than 24 hours’ notice, do not show up, or arrive more than 15 minutes late.
I already have brows from another artist. Can you help?
Possibly. Send clear photos of your current brows for a free review. Old pigment needs to be well faded before new work. Heavily scarred or very dark previous work is referred to a removal specialist first. Pricing for corrections is personalized.
Where is the studio?
Beautiful In Ink is a private suite at 1040 Huntington Dr, Suite 8, Duarte, CA 91010, in the Monrovia area, a short drive from Arcadia, Pasadena, Sierra Madre and Azusa. Visits are by appointment only.
Who is a good candidate?
Women who want soft, natural definition and less time on daily makeup. We review your health history before every appointment. If you are pregnant or breastfeeding, or have a condition that affects healing, we may ask you to wait or get your doctor’s okay first.
What is the difference between microblading, nano brows and powder brows?
Microblading uses a hand tool to create fine hair strokes. Nano brows create hair strokes with a machine, which is gentler on the skin and suits more skin types. Powder (ombré) brows give a soft, shaded makeup look. Combo brows blend hair strokes at the front with powder through the tail.
How long do brows take to heal?
Healing happens in a few simple stages. For the first few days, your brows look darker and sharper, and a little itchiness or swelling is normal. Next comes light flaking or scabbing. Let it fall off on its own and don’t pick or peel it. After that, your brows look softer, and the color may seem to fade for a short time. That’s expected: the color comes back and settles into its final shade over the next few weeks. Around 6 to 8 weeks, you come back for your touch-up to perfect the shape and color.
How long does lip blush take to heal?
Lips look brighter and slightly swollen for the first few days. They peel lightly during the first week and can look pale or patchy for a short time. That’s a normal part of healing, and the true color blooms over about 4 to 6 weeks. Around 6 to 8 weeks, you come back for your touch-up to perfect the color and shape.
Do you do removal, lamination or tinting?
No. Beautiful In Ink does not offer saline or laser removal, brow lamination or tinting. Scar camouflage is coming soon.
