Lip blush is a cosmetic tattoo that deposits a sheer, natural tint into the lips. It can even out tone, restore color that fades with age and softly define the lip line. If you love a bolder look, it can also be built up for a fuller, lipstick-style finish.
How long does lip blush take to heal?
Lips look brighter and slightly swollen for the first few days. They peel lightly during the first week and can look pale or patchy for a short time. That’s a normal part of healing, and the true color blooms over about 4 to 6 weeks. Around 6 to 8 weeks, you come back for your touch-up to perfect the color and shape.
I get cold sores. Can I have lip blush?
Yes, with planning. Lip tattooing can trigger a cold sore if you are prone to them, so talk to your doctor about preventive medication before your appointment and mention it on your health form.
Can I choose the color?
Yes. We’ll suggest shades that suit your natural lip tone and skin, from a barely-there nude to a fresh rosy flush, or a bolder, more lipstick-like shade if you prefer.
